When Janet and Steve first approached us, they believed they needed a new website. However, upon closer inspection, we found that their existing Cannington House website was not the real issue.
The primary challenge was their lack of online presence beyond their website - no social media channels, directory listings, or links from major hospitality platforms. Without these essential digital touch-points, potential guests were simply not finding them.
A Fully Tailored Strategy
To address this, we put together a package that included high-quality photography to showcase the character and charm of Cannington House, a short promotional video highlighting the beautiful rooms, the fully equipped guest kitchen, the comfortable lounge and dining room, and the serene garden and patio—perfect for summer stays.
• Content Creation: Conducting professional photography sessions to showcase the B&B's unique charm and amenities.
• Website Enhancement: Updating the existing website with fresh content and optimising it for search engines to improve rankings.
• Digital Presence Expansion: Establishing and managing profiles on relevant social media channels, integrating the website with these platforms, and ensuring listings on prominent hotel and B&B directories.
As mentioned in the strategy above, as well as shooting new content for Cannington House, we are also working on improving their digital footprint by setting up, adding posts and optimising new social media profiles, securing listings on key hospitality platforms, such as Eat.Sleep.Somerset and refining their website for better search engine visibility.
Tracking The Improvements
At the project's outset, Cannington House's domain authority (DA) was just 1, with only six linking root domains. With our ongoing efforts, we aim to significantly increase their online reach and drive more direct bookings.
