IMPACT 20twenty is supporting Sedgemoor FM’s a 'Tonne of Tins’ Campaign for the Bridgwater Foodbank
At IMPACT 20twenty, we’re always eager to support initiatives that make a POSITIVE IMPACT and this week we had the privilege of attending the exciting launch of Sedgemoor FM’s ‘A Tonne of Tins’ campaign! Hosted at Angel Place (where you'll find a Bridgwater Foodbank Donation Cart), the event marked the start of a brilliant community drive to raise awareness and collect 2,500 cans before Christmas 2024, helping local families in need.
It was fantastic to see familiar faces from Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce and some of our own clients, including Paul Smith Associates and West Country Drainage Services, who were also in attendance showing their support. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, with everyone coming together for a great cause that will make a real difference in the community.
"We were thrilled to see a number of businesses stop by in Angel Place in Bridgwater to donate some tins today! Bridgwater has some amazing people who are willing to help in so many different ways. Today they've helped give this campaign a great start!"
Neil Fellows - Marketing Director, Sedgemoor FM
The goal of 2,500 tins may seem ambitious, but with the drive and dedication of Sedgemoor FM, along with the community's support, we’re confident we'll smash the target! IMPACT 20twenty is proud to be part of this incredible campaign and we encourage everyone to get involved and donate where they can.
Some staggering metrics from the Bridgwater Foodbank website show that between March 2022 and March 2023, 6734 people were fed by this one foodbank alone and of that total 2654 were children!
In addition to tins, Bridgwater Foodbank also accepts a variety of other essential items. If you’re looking to make a difference, you can donate non-perishable goods such as pasta, rice, cereals, and canned vegetables. They also welcome toiletries, baby products, long-life milk, juice, and even household cleaning items. Every donation, big or small, helps local families in need and ensures everyone in the community can get through tough times.

"Let’s all get behind this amazing cause and start donating those tins and other essentials!!"
